\n Since its establishment, the Graduate School of Education (GSE) has played a pivotal role in shaping teacher education and graduate studies in T\u00fcrkiye. Below is a timeline of key milestones that highlight the School\u2019s ongoing growth, innovation, and contributions to the field.\n <\/p>\n
\n 1988<\/strong> \n 2000<\/strong> \n 2003<\/strong> In the same year, in collaboration with the School of English Language, \n 2004<\/strong> \n 2007<\/strong> \n 2010<\/strong> \n 2011<\/strong> \n 2021<\/strong>
\n Bilkent University launched its first in-service teacher education program at the graduate level for practising teachers in higher education. The program, MA in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL)<\/em>, was developed in collaboration with the Fulbright Commission in Ankara.

\n The Graduate School of Education (GSE) was founded.
\n It launched a pre-service teacher education program, MA in Teacher Education (TE)<\/em>, initially in four areas: Biology, English, History, and Turkish Language & Literature. Mathematics was added the following year.\n <\/p>\n
\n GSE introduced a five-year combined BA & MA program,

\n GSE launched the MA program in Management in Education (EM)<\/em>

\n MA in Curriculum & Instruction (CI)<\/em>, a program for practising teachers.

\n Due to national teacher education policy changes, the previous MA in Teacher Education (TE) was replaced by the new program MA in Curriculum & Instruction with Teaching Certificate (CITE)<\/em>.
